Privacy Policy

Cero Labs Software Services W.L.L. ("Cero") protects your personal data and handles it in line with the laws of the State of Qatar, including Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection (the "PDPPL"). This policy explains what Cero collects, why, who receives it, how long Cero keeps it and how you control it.

Cero is the data controller for the personal data described below.
What we collect
- Contact details: Examples: Name, work email, phone number, company, role; How we get it: Forms, bookings, calls, emails
- Project information: Examples: Requirements, files, system access, team details; How we get it: You share it during scoping and delivery
- Billing details: Examples: Company name, address, invoice records; How we get it: Quotes and invoices
- Payment data: Examples: Payment confirmation from our gateway provider; How we get it: The payment gateway. Cero does not store full card numbers.
- Website data: Examples: Pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location; How we get it: Cookies and analytics tools
Cero does not ask for sensitive personal data such as health, religion, ethnic origin or criminal records. Please leave these out of forms and project files.
Why we use it
- Reply to enquiries and prepare quotes: Your request and our legitimate interest in running the business
- Deliver services, builds and training: Our contract with you
- Invoice you and keep financial records: Contract and legal obligations
- Improve the website and services: Our legitimate interest, and your consent for non-essential cookies
- Send news and offers by email, SMS or WhatsApp: Your prior, explicit consent
Every marketing message identifies Cero and includes a simple way to opt out.
Who receives it
Cero shares data only with providers that help deliver the service:
- Payment gateway and banking partners
- Cloud hosting, email, scheduling and project tools
- Analytics providers
- AI model providers, when your project needs them
Each provider receives the data needed for its task and works under a written agreement or terms that require appropriate protection. Cero shares data with authorities when the law requires it. Cero does not sell personal data.
Client data in AI projects
Data you provide for a project is used to deliver that project. Cero keeps it confidential, limits access to the team working on it, and agrees retention, deletion and AI-provider terms in your project agreement.
International transfers
Some providers store or process data outside Qatar. Cero transfers data for lawful purposes, selects providers with appropriate security measures and follows the PDPPL when it does so.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects: [24 months]
- Client project data: For the project and [12 months] afterward, or as your agreement states
- Invoices and financial records: [10 years], as legal and accounting duties require
- Marketing consent records: Until you withdraw consent, plus [12 months]
After these periods Cero deletes or anonymizes the data.
How we protect it
Cero applies access controls, encryption in transit, secure hosting and staff confidentiality commitments, and reviews who can reach client data. If a breach is likely to cause damage to you, Cero notifies you and the National Cyber Governance and Assurance Affairs (NCGAA) as soon as possible and within 72 hours.
Your rights
You can ask Cero to:
- Give you access to your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete data, where the law permits
- Stop or limit certain processing
- Withdraw your consent at any time
Email cerolabs.io@gmail.com. Cero replies within [30 days] and may need to confirm your identity first. Withdrawing consent applies from that point onward.
You can also file a complaint with the National Cyber Governance and Assurance Affairs (NCGAA), the data protection authority in Qatar.
Children
Cero's services are designed for businesses and adults. Cero does not knowingly collect data from children. A parent or guardian can contact Cero to review or delete a child's data.
Cookies
The website uses essential cookies and [analytics cookies]. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the cookie banner, and change your choice in your browser settings.
Changes to this policy
Cero posts updates on this page with a new effective date, and notifies clients of material changes.
